Blue Coconut Matcha Latte Recipe 💙

This blue coconut matcha latte is creamy, vibrant, and layered with vanilla bean flavor. Made with matcha, coconut cream, vanilla bean syrup, and a dreamy blue spirulina cold foam, it’s a refreshing iced drink that looks just as good as it tastes.

💙 Ingredients

Matcha:

Blue Cold Foam:

  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 oz vanilla bean syrup
  • 1 teaspoon blue spirulina powder

Latte:

  • About 2 tablespoons coconut cream
  • 1 teaspoon blue spirulina powder
  • Ice
  • 1/2 oz vanilla bean syrup
  • 1 cup milk of choice (oat milk works great)


🥄 Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk 1 teaspoon of matcha powder with 1/4 cup of warm water using a bamboo whisk until smooth. Set aside.
  2. In a separate glass or frothing cup, combine the heavy whipping cream, vanilla bean syrup, and blue spirulina powder. Froth until light and creamy, then set aside.
  3. Drizzle coconut cream around the inside of your serving glass.
  4. Sprinkle blue spirulina powder over the coconut cream and rotate the glass so the mixture coats the sides.
  5. Fill the glass with ice.
  6. Add 1/2 oz vanilla bean syrup and pour in 1 cup of milk of choice.
  7. Top with the prepared matcha.
  8. Finish with the blue cold foam and serve.

Pro Tip: Use warm, not hot, water when whisking matcha to help keep the flavor smooth and less bitter.
